Recent (from summer 2010) SRW Hardware Upgrades
SRW-5500 and SRW-5000 units pre-version 3 (circa March 2006) that were not /1 chassis will not support the Program Play Features introduced in Version 3 firmware on or since that time.
SRW-5500 and SRW-5000 /1 units or higher running firmware version 3 or higher can currently be upgraded from August 2010 for a limited time (while supplies last) for a parts and Sony Service labor cost, to a basic /2 unit.
The upgrade for the HKSR-5001 to the HKSR-5001/20 is to purchase the HKSR-5001/20, there is no trade in.
