Notes for DVW-970WS:
Widescreen (squeeze) recording or 4:3. Sony has brought a "24" Frame Progressive
Imaging* option to Standard Definition Digital Betacam with the DVW970WS 3-CCD 2/3"
16:9/4:3 Progressive (PsF) or Interlaced Digital Betacam Camcorder. The DVW970WS uses a
2" B&W BVF-V20W Viewfinder and VCT14 Tripod Plate (the lens is sold
separately). It has a Slow Shutter Feature, Progressive Mode (recorded as PsF), and,
like the XDCAM Camcorders, uses an optional CBK-FC01/1 pull down board (*24 Frame
Progressive Imaging is actually 23.98PsF frame rate imaging with pulldown). Other
options include a CBK-SD01 SDI Output Board, and optional CBK-MB01 Picture Cache
Board. The DVW970WS uses S-small Digital Betacam cassettes. The DVW970WS model replaces the DVW-790WS model, which has been
discontinued. The PAL version of this unit is the DVW-970P. |

Progressive Imaging* option to Standard Definition IMX Format digital recording with the
introduction of this MSW970 3-CCD 2/3" 16:9/4:3 Progressive or Interlaced IMX (S -
small cassette) Camcorder with BVF-V20W 2" B&W Viewfinder and VCT14 Tripod Plate
(lens is sold separately). It has a Slow Shutter Feature, Progressive Mode (recorded
