AJ-SD965 Notes:
Component digital 525/59.94 or 625/50 SDI I/O with embedded
audio and AES/EBU I/O is standard. The DVCPRO(25Mb/s) mode supports only 2 channels
of digital audio, whereas the DVCPRO50 mode supports up to 4 channels of digital audio.
Analog Composite output and Component outputs are also standard. **To record
analog inputs, an analog input board is required, which is shown below in Options.
There is room for only one analog input board, meaning you need to choose whether or not
you purchase and install an NTSC or a PAL board. This choice does not affect the
standard digital I/O or the analog output that is available, but it will affect which line
standard you can record in from the analog input. This unit does not standards
convert on input, record,or playback. You can record up to 126 minutes of DVCPRO or
63 minutes of DVCPRO50 recording using AJP126L cassettes, and obtain up to 184 minutes of
DVCPRO playback using legacy AJ5P92L cassettes. UMID Metadata recording/playback. Optional IEEE-1394
FireWireŽ interface designed to support 25Mb/s DVCPRO and 50 Mb/s DVCPRO50 (note: in 625
PAL mode DV data input is not supported through this interface). No DVCPROHD
playback or record.

differs from the AJ-SD955A in that it is NTSC 525/59.94 record and playback only and does
not have front panel edit control. It also supports SDTI (Serial Data Transport
Interface) I/O Card Option, which is no longer an option or available on the AJ-SD955A.
UMID Metadata recording/playback.
Up to 126 minutes of NTSC DVCPRO or 63 minutes of DVCPRO50 recording using AJP126L

SDI are standard, and there is an additional SDI monitor output which offers

AJ-SD93 notes:
This unit differs from the more featured
AJ-SD930B and AJ-SD955B VTRs, as it is designed as a feeder. Up to 126 minutes of NTSC DVCPRO or 63 minutes of DVCPRO50 recording
using AJP126L cassettes, 184 minutes of NTSC DVCPRO playback using legacy AJ5P92L
cassettes. This unit is for 525/59.94
NTSC operation only. It has a joystick for slow and shuttle search operation.
This unit has a 100-240V power supply. The IEEE1394 I/O is DVCPRO/DV switchable (DV
for DV/DVCAM) and is standard. DVCPRO 50 data can only be used by systems or devices
that are compatible with 50Mb/s DV data. There is no CUE audio track available, and
no AES/EBU I/O available. RS422 Input, TC I/O and Genlock (frame lock with
throughput) are available through the AJ-YA93 Option. RS232 is not available, Auto
Edit and Manual Edit are not available. No Assemble Edit, No Insert Edit, No Audio
Afterrecording, No player use for linear editing, No DVCPROHD playback or record. 3RU, 1/2
