Sony High Grade Professional LCD Displays Special Notes: The differentiating factors of the high-grade one-piece advanced CCFL-type LMD-2450W and LMD-2050W 2007 Models over other new Entry Level Series and previous LMD models include the incorporation of a newly designed DSP (Digital Signal Processor) with 3 levels of IP conversion for advanced picture monitoring, including the Sony 10-bit ChromaTru color processing technology (with 8-bit panel drivers), and expanded features. Both the LMD-2450W and LMD-2050W offer a variety of optional video interfaces up to single link HD-SDI, and accept PC signals via a digital DVI-D single link connection or an analog HD-15 pin interface. The signals and frame rates accepted vary between all of these interfaces. For the most advanced LCD technology from Sony, see the separate section for Sony BVM-L Master Grade Series LCD products. |

LCD. The Progressive Scan Sony LMD-2450W 16:10 LCD Monitor supports Standard Definition video, single link High Definition video, and RGB analog PC or DVI-D input. (*Note: the available resolution depends on the input type and supported presets). Expandable Video Input Capability with 48Hz* support. Video input configuration can easily be modified or expanded by installing up to 2 optional input adaptor boards. PsF/47.98/48/50 is supported for HD-SDI, analog video inputs, and when using 3rd party DVI-D products, 47.98/48/50 Hz is supported for certain DVI-D rasters. (*Note: refer to VTP and Sony for more detailed information regarding supported frame rates and image rasters, and input connector descriptions). Native Pixel to Pixel HD Imaging. For HD-SDI, the LMD-2450W provides a pixel to pixel HD Native Mode for displaying either the 1920x1080 or 1280x720 rasters, or, a Full Mode to fill the 16:10 panel, or 0% Normal Scan, or 5% Overscan Consumer Mode. Additionally, HD-SDI images can be image row shifted* vertically or horizontally for simple observation of image rows that may contain VANC or HANC. (*Note: shift outside active image area is not available with DVI-D because the DVI-D processing passes only the active image area or externally cropped portions of it). External Remote Control. The input signal selection and various functions are controllable via a 9-pin RS232C connection, RJ45 open Ethernet command (SDAP or SDCP Protocol) or Ethernet Serial Remote connection to an optional BKM15R Remote Control Unit. Up to 32 IP addressable units can be controlled on the network, with a maximum of 4 IP addressable Remote Control Units. Additional Professional Grade Features. Backlight Adjustment Control (up or down), 4 Selectly Assignable Front Panel Function Buttons for operator convenience, Select Menu Language Display, Two-picture Input Multi-Display (with sub display position of bottom, center, top in 4:4, or bottom left/right, top left/right in 16:9), Input Signal Waveform (Y, RGB) and 2 Channel On-Screen Audio Level dB Display, Composite Analog NTSC Closed Caption Text Display (from conforming EIA608 inserted standard analog Line 21 source), VESA (100x100) standard mounting, Blue Only Mode, Selectable Marker/Scan Display (for display modes other than for Native Pixel to Pixel only, and for 16:9 mode, marker select is 4:3, 15:9, 14:9, 13:9, 1.85:1, 2.35:1, 4:3, off; and for 4:3, marker select is 16:9 or off), H/V Delay Mode, APA (Auto Pixel Alignment) Function for analog VGA Input, Select Color Temperature Mode, Select Color Space (SMPTE-C, EBU, ITU-R BT.709) Function, Auto Chroma/Phase Function, built-in front Stereo Speakers, Stereo Speaker Outputs, and Selectable Three Level Processing Delay compensation to minimize audio delay, Selectable Setup (0, 7.5ire) for NTSC, Center Marker, Three Color Tally, Key Inhibit. Connectivity. 4-pin mini-DIN Y/C, Composite Analog, Ext. Sync, Y/Pb/Pr or RGB (shared) inputs with loop through (self-terminating), and R/L audio (RCA) with loop. DVI-D (with auto discrimination by the Data Enable signal of picture, size, and phase), HD15, 8-pin Parallel Remote, RJ45 Ethernet and 9-pin RS232C for Serial Remote, are all standard connections with the base unit. |
