Operates in either NTSC or PAL modes. This unit is specifically designed to perform frame accurate insert editing of MPEG II-based SX under standard RS-422A machine control and BVW protocol (works/looks just like a BVW-75 with more capability). Records and plays in (Digital) BetacamSX format and this DNW-A75 version plays back analog Betacam or Betacam SP. Betacam SX format allows maximum recording time of 194 minutes on L-cassette, and 62 minutes on S-cassette.
