Solution: The Sony HXC100 High Definition Camera and the HXC100 Workshop, ONLY AT VTP, Burbank. Learn why Sony’s entry level High Definition HXC100 Camera System is a big cost savings alternative solution for use in Outside Broadcast (OB) Truck, Remote, and Studio applications, where Triax to the camera and RCP at the CCU paint functions may be needed, but not large box lenses or cinema frame rates.  For outstanding imaging potential of near-field Sports, Events, Concerts, Newscasts, Houses of Worship, and more, the HXC100 supports output formats of 1080i/59.94/50 or 720p/59.94/50 from its Power HAD FX 3CCDs.  Hear the detail on this system from one of Sony’s camera Sales Support Engineers, including Multi-Matrix functions, and Hyper Gamma settings for extending output dynamic range coding for those “hard to pull in” images. Hear from Director/Cameraman Tim Patterson: he’ll discuss and show some of the camera work he did with the Sony PMWEX1 for the Michael Jackson film and Blu-ray/DVD documentary tribute, This Is It. Then, take on the MPEG 2 Sony PDW and AVCHD “How Does One Choose?” challenge: hear about differences between the Sony PMW-EX1, new PMW-EX1R, PMW-EX3, and new PMW350 camcorders, and, see the new low cost Sony AVCHD HXRNX5U camcorder.
